Somme 100
In July 2016, Spike & Ali from the committee attended the National Commemorative Event to mark the Centenery of the Battle of the Somme, at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission's Thiepval Memorial to the Missing of the Somme.
Wreaths were laid for the three village men commemorated at the memorial.

At 7.30am 100 years ago at this point British troops went over the top at the Somme. Near this point Private Alan Grant (10th Lincs Regt) was killed shortly afterwards.
